National Foundation for Cancer Research to Provide Discount Travel Service to Benefit Cancer

The National Foundation for Cancer Research and YTB Travel announced that they have formed an Internet-based discount travel service, that gives a percentage of the booking fees to the cancer research efforts of the NFCR. The site works like similar discount travel websites, allowing individuals to book their travel arrangements, golf tee times and event and ticket reservations online along with a number of other travel related services.

“In a world where most travelers today are planning their vacation destinations, event packages and business trips online, our new travel website gives booking these activities a real purpose,” said Franklin Salisbury, president of NFCR. “Best of all, 100% of donations raised through this partnership will fund our cutting-edge cancer research projects–in the laboratory where a cure will be found.”

How it works is similar to most other travel websites. Reservations are made through the YTB customized web site Continue Reading »

Clifton Travel Group Association Program for Non-Profit Organizations

The Clifton Travel Group provides a “Private Label” Booking Engine web site for our non-profit clients to use and market to their members and supporters, which provides ongoing fund raising revenues.

As members and supporters book their travel using their customized YTB Association website, it creates a consistent stream of funds from commissions paid by travel vendors. A significant portion of these commissions are then paid on a monthly basis to the non-profit organization as royalties. The booking engine uses the same technology and provides the same features and prices as other online booking engines such as Expedia, Orbitz and Travelocity.

With 85% of personal travel booked online, the non-profit organization is not asking members to do anything Continue Reading »
