Now Is the Time to Have Your Own YTB Home Based Travel Business and Here’s Why

They say timing can influence most things in life. To that point, the summer time is a major timing factor for taking vacations. What a time to join YTB Travel and provide travel, hotels, car rentals, group vacations and theme vacations to millions of Americans during this vacation season. Since we have a home based travel agency with YTB, we are doing just that!

In the fall, there is a large segment of the baby boomer generation that generally go South to warmer climates. These people are usually of the retirement age and make this journey on a regular basis. With your own online travel business, just imagine the business opportunity that is available by having a home travel agency.

As the year progresses, we approach the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, which are the heaviest travel days of the year. By now, many know that you have an online travel business and will book all travel logistics on your site, because the pricing is less, or very competitive to any other travel agent available. Secondly, they know you and prefer doing business with someone they know. Remember, YTB Travel MLM does not advertise, and can provide more cost effective travel than other online travel agencies that spend 60% of all revenues on television advertising.

Next as a home based travel agent, you ease into another timing factor: Spring break. My YTB home based business is planning the spring break trip for my daughter’s high school senior trip. With this type of group travel, the commissions to be earned are significant. The way we arranged this opportunity is very simple. They all know us, the trip price is the best available, and friends do business with friends if the quality is the same and the price is less.

After spring break vacation time period, we re- enter summer vacation time and the beat goes on. During the interim, we book business travel through our online travel business which makes up most of the travel industry. As you can see, timing is on the travel industry’s side and the demand is ongoing. Always remember, you are not asking anyone to do something that they weren’t already planning to do anyway…. travel!

Why YTB Travel is Unique to Other Network Marketing Companies

YTB Travel provides several business channels through which to earn real income. To be more specific, consider the following.

Many MLM companies offer specific products and services that can only be promoted to a limited audience, or narrow target market. For example, cosmetics are usually targeted to women, which leaves out the male population. Weight loss products are targeted specifically for those who need to lose weight and so on….Usually in both cases, the marketing of these products is person-to-person, so how many people can you meet in a day that fit these profiles?

If you look at your YTB Travel business, everyone has needs for travel regardless of gender, size or unique circumstances. Therefore, there is mass appeal and demand for travel services. Secondly, with the YTB Travel MLM program you aren’t limited to selling person-to-person. You can also sell YTB Travel services to companies of any size that use travel to conduct their business. There are endless numbers of companies to call on, so you don’t have to depend on friends, neighbors and relatives as customers.

You can also sell YTB Travel to non-profit organizations. Non-profits are one of the fastest growing industries in America today, and YTB Travel sites can be set up in their name for fund raising programs. For example, any non-profit, church, school, university, charity or organization can have their own YTB web site. When members and supporters book travel on their web site, the non-profit gets 40% of the incurred travel commissions to support their projects, causes and missions. The YTB affiliate earns 10% of 100% of all the commissions. What a great source for residual income.

Your travel biz is also in the flower delivery business. Order and send flowers to anyone,
anytime, from anywhere from the YTB web site.

Entertainment? Anyone can book entertainment and sporting events on your home based travel agency site.

As a result, YTB targets multiple, broad based target markets, and provides consumable products and services that are used by millions of people on a daily basis. In the end, the YTB affiliate is leveraged for success and income.

A Quick Start Up Idea for New YTB Affiliates

I recently had a new YTB Affiliate sign up under our group that had a great idea to jump start her new home travel business . This may be something we all can do with small, or mid-sized companies:

She told her employer that she was thinking about starting an online travel booking agency. This would not interfere with her 8 to 5 job, because YTB sits on the Internet and automatically books travel for her clients, a YTB phone number is available to call if there are any questions, and they would save money on business travel. Her employer agreed and she signed up with YTB . Now she has an immediate customer that will provide a residual monthly income for years to come, and doesn’t have to spend any time with any travel fulfillment, or travel issues.

Be careful before you present such a scenario to your employer, because they may determine that this is a conflict of interest. On the other hand, many have second jobs to support their families, work for employers who would support them, or think it is a great idea because they are going to save money on business travel.

If it might be a concern to your employer, set it up under your spouse and the conflict of interest is eliminated.

Getting Help With Your YTB Business

If you need help, all you have to do is ask:

  • Your first line of help is your SPONSOR. This is the person that directly brought you into the buisness. They should be ready, willing and able to help you. After all, it is mutually beneficial for them to help you. It helps you grow into a leader and this help grow both of your businesses.
  • Your next line of help is your UPLINE. This is your sponsor’s sponsor, sponsor’s sponsor’s sponsor, etc. Your sponsor should get this information to you as soon as possible after you have joined. You really need this information especially if you need to do a 3 way call or have a question and cannot reach your sponsor. You should have at least 2 other people you can call for help. Make sure your sponsor gets you that information right away.
  • Another line of help is the COMPANY. This is usually only necessary if you have to call in an order or enrollment, need to approve ad content, or other question that directly relates to the company. Most questions can be answered by the two methods listed above.

Teamwork makes the Dream Work so use your support and go build a HUGE business for you and your family.

Setting Aside Time to Run Your YTB Business

If you have ever had a job, you understand that when your boss wants you at work, you need to be there. Maybe not every second of every day, but at least most of the time.

Your business with us is no different, except that you are YOUR OWN boss. Now with this title comes many benefits but also comes a great deal of responsibility. As your own boss it is very important to set aside specific time each week to work your business. Think of it as making your own work schedule. But remember, as an employee it is too easy to say you’ll do it tomorrow and that must change. This is YOUR company and you need it done today!

If you set aside 2 hours on Tuesday, 2 hours on Thursday and 3 hours on Saturday, as your time to work your business, then you have to be a strong enough boss to make your employee do what they are supposed to. This time should be spent talking with prospects and other activities that produce results, NOT cleaning your desk off, shuffling papers or other non-productive activities.

You see, your business isn’t going to build itself. You need a purposeful effort, the discipline, and the determination to make it happen. Not many people create wealth without making a sacrifice or two and sticking to a game plan.
Set your hours each week around other activities you have for the week. That is certainly an advantage and benefit to being your own boss, you can work the hours you want but remember that you still have to work.

The more you work, the faster your business will grow. The less you work the slower your business will grow.

Personalize Your YTB Web Site

Rick and Matt workin awayYou can personalize your web site in the following ways:

Add a photo of yourself or your family. This helps visitors feel more comfortable with who you are and starts building a relationship with them sometimes even before you have spoken with them.

Edit the “Main Page” content. This is the first page your visitor sees after they fill out the contact form. You can customize this page with specials or company news, whatever you feel is the first information your visitor should get.

Edit the About Us page. This is where your visitor learns about you. You can tell your story as to why you started your business, what you saw in the company or product that re-enforced your decision, a little about yourself personally, family, what you currently do or your vision for your business, etc. Use this page to help connect you with your visitor.

These personalization options can be accessed under “Edit Web Site Options” in the “My Account” area. There is default content provided so changes are not mandatory, just an option.

The YTB Opportunity and Market Place

It is important to note that YTB has four business opportunities for any individual who considers becoming an affiliate. These include the following positions:

  1. RTA
  2. Independent Rep
  3. Corporate Sales
  4. Association Rep for non-profit

This post will high light the Association Rep position for non-profits that include the following target markets.

  1. Non-profit organizations
  2. Churches
  3. Public school systems
  4. Universities
  5. Charities

By the way, Reference USA is a good source to identify non-profit organizations in your area. You will never run out of prospects to call on for this business, which makes this opportunity unique. To be more specific, many MLM Reps fail because they don’t have enough prospects and contacts to sell to….

The top 3 priorities of any non-profit is to find new money, find fresh money and to find new ways to bring in new, fresh money to support their missions, objectives and projects.

YTB Association is a viable source of fresh money for fundraising purposes because:

  • It’s passive, no member or supporter of any non-profit is being asked to do something they would not be doing anyway.
  • The non-profit earns 40% of all commissions generated
  • Vendors pay commissions, not the users of the travel system
  • Travel is growing at a 23% faster pace than the rest of the global economy.
  • YTB Association is a publicly traded company and has a 6 year track record.
  • Many of the US non-profits use YTB Association for fund raising including Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, YMCA, major universities and religious organizations.
  • YTB Association will assist in the development of travel site promotion for any non- profit that implements the system
  • YTB Association has a co-grant with Carnival Cruises for group travel for charity.
  • YTB Association is an Internet based travel company, which is the most successful niche in the e-commerce industry. Secondly, the Internet is the fastest growing technology in the world.
  • It allow the non-profit organization to take part in a trillion dollar industry.

The YTB Association web site takes little time to set up and implement. YTB does all the work and assigns a YTB account manager to the non-profit organization for all account support, tracking and operations.

All travel is insured, there is no liability for the non-profit, their non-profit status is not threatened by using this system and there is not any additional work load for the non-profit to assume by using this system. Again, a great passive fund raiser that works behind the scenes.

When you call a non-profit, ask for the Development Director. This individual will be responsible for developing new sources of donations and incoming funds. Once you call this individual I recommend the following process:

  • Introduce yourself as a YTB Association consultant who is representing an innovative fund raising program.
  • How are you currently raising funding, and would you consider viable alternatives to augment current fund raising activities?
  • Would you be interested in learning more about how we are raising funds for hundreds of other non-profits nation-wide.
  • May I email, or send information about our fund raising program to your attention, and then follow up in a week, or so.

If yes, email and mail hard copy. Include the following documentation from the YTB Association Resources back office:

  • YTB Association cover letter
  • One page FAQ
  • One page program overview
  • YTB Association calculator. Note that if only 250 people spent $2,800 per year on travel, the non-profit would receive $14,000 in commissions to fund any cause of their choice.
  • Use a separate business card because you don’t want them to go to your YTB marketing / booking web site.

Make sure you include the following web sites for the non-profit to visit:

www.ytbassociations.com YTB Association web site

www.ytbassociations.com/resources/presentation.html Presentation site

www.ytbtravel.com/demoassociation YTB Association demo site

If they want more information immediately, give them an elevator pitch and ask them to visit www.causetravel.com to see what we did for the National Foundation for Cancer Research. Well, visualize the Missouri Easter Seals logo in place of the NFCR and web site content that reflects your causes and missions.

When you follow up, expect the Director of Development to relay the following:

  • I reviewed your information and have submitted it to the CEO
  • I have submitted your information to the staff for board review
  • Right now we are very busy with another campaign, so call me in a few months
  • Great, when can we get started?

All of these responses can be managed to. In all cases, make sure they have a solid understanding about how the program works. This is the time you bring the non-profit into alignment and move them to the next step within the selling cycle.

What’s in it for you? You can earn residual income of 10% of 100% of gross commissions earned. The non-profit earns 40%. One misconception is that the YTB Association rep earns 10% of the 40%, which is not correct.

When planning a call on a non-profit, make sure to complete the following check list:

  • Make sure they are not an account
  • Make sure they are not on the no call list
  • Make sure they haven’t been registered by another YTB rep
  • Do not use any YTB Association client as a reference account unless approved by YTB Association corporate.

The YTB Business Model

Online travel agency and network marketing?? At first glance that might seem a little weird. I thought MLM’s were only allowed to sell water purifiers and vitamins. Well if you think about it, using the network marketing business model to leverage online travel is a brilliant decision. Company’s like Travelocity and Expedia spend millions of dollars every day to market their services. There is absolutely no way YTB could compete with these companies unless they had some very very very serious investors. Great thing is, they don’t have to. If someone in your family was a travel agent would you book through them if their prices were the competitive? How about cheaper? How about if it wasn’t a family member but a close friend? It’s just that simple.

Furthermore, by not spending millions of dollars on advertising, YTB is also able to pass those savings on to the consumers and distributors. The recruitment side of the compensation plan is also extremely lucrative, bringing hundreds of new Reps into the company every day. So is this business model working? The modest answer is YES: YTB sold $1B in travel last year and is currently the highest travel revenue producer for Carnival cruises. We’re just getting started. Your Travel Business will become the biggest travel company in the world. Do you want to be part of it?
